Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how The Bounty App, Inc. (DBA “Supermodel,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Supermodel Public API, the Supermodel VS Code Extension, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). This policy applies to all users, whether accessing Supermodel via API, VS Code, Open VSX Marketplace, or web interface.
Information We Collect
Account Information
• For the VS Code Extension, we collect your GitHub username and email via GitHub OAuth to authenticate and create your account.
• For API-only users, we may collect your email address and organization details when you register for an API key or subscription.
• Optional profile information, such as organization name or display name, may also be collected.
Source Code & Graph Data
• Source code: We do not permanently store or train on your source code. Code is uploaded only temporarily for processing and graph generation, then deleted immediately after processing.
• Graphs: For paying users, we store graph data (nodes, relationships, and metadata) for account access and visualization. No raw code is stored.
• Free users’ data is deleted immediately after each graph generation.
• Sensitive files (e.g., .env, .pem, or credential stores) are automatically excluded from processing.
Telemetry & Usage Metrics
• We collect anonymized usage metrics from the VS Code Extension (e.g., activation, feature usage, and performance data) to improve reliability and performance.
• Telemetry does not include source code or graph data and cannot identify individuals.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers for infrastructure, analytics, and operations, including:
• AI Processing: OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic (via OpenRouter, with shortest available retention policy. Enterprise customers may provide their own API keys and models for private deployments.)
• Hosting & Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure
• Database & Graph Storage: Neo4j
• Payments: Stripe
• Analytics & Telemetry: Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or equivalent
• Marketplace Distribution: Microsoft Visual Studio Code Marketplace and Open VSX
Use of Information
We use collected information to:
• Authenticate and manage user accounts (via GitHub OAuth or API registration)
• Generate and store user-requested graph data
• Enforce usage limits, free/paid plan entitlements, and billing
• Process payments
• Analyze anonymized usage metrics and improve product reliability
• Communicate updates, respond to inquiries, and provide support
We do not sell or share your data for advertising purposes.
Data Security
• All transmissions are protected using industry-standard encryption.
• Graph and account data are securely stored on Azure and Neo4j infrastructure.
• Third-party vendors are required to maintain strong data protection standards and are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
Data Retention & Deletion
• Source code is deleted immediately after graph generation.
• For paying users, graph data is retained for the duration of the subscription and deleted within 30 days after termination or upon written request.
• Telemetry data is retained for up to 12 months for aggregated analytics purposes.
• Account and billing information are retained as required by law or accounting standards.
• Users may request full account deletion by contacting legal@supermodeltools.com
Information Disclosure
We disclose information only:
• To service providers (e.g., Neo4j, Azure, Stripe, OpenRouter, Microsoft, or Open VSX) as needed to provide the Services.
• When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
• To protect the rights, property, or safety of The Bounty App, Inc., Supermodel, or its users.
We do not sell, rent, or lease personal or technical data to third parties.
International Transfers
Your data may be processed in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. Where required, we implement Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards to ensure adequate protection for international data transfers.
Policy Updates
We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our Services, legal requirements, or operational practices. Material changes will be communicated via email, the VS Code Extension, or API dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect.
